IBF’s Demand Planning, Forecasting, and S&OP Certification Program and S&OP Certification Program

The course consists of two days. Prior to the course days, the books needs to be studied thoroughly. Your time investment on preparation will be 15 hours per day, the total time investment for your exam is estimated around 70 hours. The training day is meant to discuss the information in the book and to practice examples. Furthermore, during the training day, professionals can share field experiences with each other and practice with application of the materials in Excel. Field examples will be discussed as well. All study materials are in English, however the course can be given in Dutch or English.

The Certified Professional Forecaster® (CPF) certification consists of three exams. Each exam consists out of 100 to 150 multiple choice questions. For each exam, the participant has two hours. The CPF certification is earned when 70% or higher is scored for each exam individually.
Exam registration can be done via ibf.org. The costs are $350,- per exam. The participant is responsible for the exam registration himself.
The CPF certification program is eligible for people who fulfill one of the following criteria:
- Have at least a bachelor’s degree and one year of professional experience in Business Forecasting and Planning
- Have at least two years of professional experience in Business Forecasting and Planning
Professionals are required to accumulate 40 continuing education points within four years after posessing the CPF certification. Re-certification points can be earned among others by attending IBF conferences, tutorials, workshops, in-house trainings, publishing original research, articles or blogs on forecasting or being an IBF member. Re-taking all relevant certification exams is also an acceptable way to re-certify.
The costs of the CPF course are € 1.395,- per person (excluding VAT). The price includes all course materials, lunch and coffee– and tea facilities during the training. The price is excluding exam fee.
